Mailbox

Small wooden box
When opened with grace
Gives you the hidden treasure!

Every evening, I have this habit of opening my mailbox expecting something interesting in it. But I end up seeing nothing or a bunch of advertisement slips 🙂

If given a choice

If given a choice to become a Superman or a Software Architect,
I would choose to be a s/w architect.
If no choice given, I will still become a s/w architect.

2013

Happy New Year. 2012 was great with ups and downs. I have also found few wonderful blogs and bloggers last year. Thanks and new year wishes to you all.

Ok, its resolution time now…
I haven’t taken or followed any resolution so far. Still let me list down my plans.

1. Save money:
I had spent a lot last year for electronics and stuffs so It’s time to save some money. I have to start from zero :(.

2. Travel:
This is about spending the money whatever I have saved :). Does resolution 1 and 2 contradicts each other?
I just want to explore the US by traveling as much as possible before my visa expires.

I hope to save and travel a lot this year.
Wish me good luck!

Clock and Bed

The clock ticks so loud,

a constant rhythm in my dream,

My bed is a cloud that sails far supreme.

The clock turns in to a sun

I’m still in my bed

Wake up, Wake up! the clock hits my head.

Time wants me to go

But the bed says no

Fight for my love continues between those two.

I stopped their fight,

And promised my bed

That I’ll come back tonight.

Bed, pillow, clock and the whole mess of this image belongs to me.

Dark Night

I have a habit of sleeping with the lights on as I’m alone in my apartment, But today, I have to sleep without lights. There is no power due to storm in cincinnati 😦

I’m a man and I’m not afraid of storm, thunder or any other threats. but this darkness…OMG, It’s so scary :(.

The worst part is, I just watched a horror movie ‘Don’t be afraid of the dark’ at my friends place. I did not complete the movie and I asked my friend to drop me. When I’m back home, the power has not yet come. My friend asked me to sleep at his place, but for some unknown reason I said I’m good.

I’m surviving with the lights from my MacBook Pro’s screen. It is my only company now. It has 51% of battery power and I hope the lights will be back soon.

While typing this post on TextEdit, my computer scared me for a moment by shouting ‘It’s 11’o clock’.  Let me tell victoria (system’s voice) not to announce the time when it is 12.00.

Hmm, I’m taking an oath now…If I survive tonight, I’m going to be the wisest person in the world from tomorrow.

I’m done with the post and I will be updating this in my blog when the power comes.

God! I don’t pray for success, but I ask for POWER.

Fingers crossed!

Angels on the walking lane

Again, I woke up late today. I left home at 9.30 and I had to walk to office since I left my BumbleBee in office on Friday evening.

Though there is no call (a stupid status call) today, I walked in hurry and tension. I went ahead of the Disney Land  and then crossed the yellow VW Beetle – I don’t know why this Yellow Volkswagen Beetle always makes me smile and happy whenever I see it 🙂

In few meters I saw a line of angels crossing the road and coming towards my lane. The empty walking lane is now occupied by Angels. I went nearby them and a gorgeous little girl said Hello and gave a lovely smile. They are elementary school students going somewhere from their school accompanied by two teachers.

One of the teachers told me that I should probably go front as it takes some time for all of them to go.

I said ok and walked forward, but the line started to move again and now I’m in middle of those tiny tots.

I was wearing a backpack and looked like one of those school students. I felt like a grown up kid in the midst of the little angels. Some kids smiled and few felt shy but all were happy walking.

I did not want to split the line so I stood in acorner to let the line move on.

All the kids waved bye and we exchanged smiles. My tension vanished away on their smiles. Then I started to walk slowly enjoying the weather, admiring at the trees, sparrows and the old buildings of the historic Glendale village.

Life is Beautiful!

PS: People ignore the beauty of life in their fast, urgent and busy life. I realized that life is not about achieving success, survival or making money. Life is just about living!

Look around,

Breathe in love and

Live the life!

Amma

Dear Mom,

This post is for you. I thank you for being the best mom. I talk to you daily, but there are few things that I have not told you. So I’m writing it on my blog.

You never scolded me when I flunked in exams, rather you cursed the subjects for being so tough.

You tease me that I’m a tube light and treat me like a friend.

You held me tight when I’m scared in the night and

You treat me very special every single day.

You have not burdened me with responsibilities when dad passed away, but

You showed immortal love that made such losses fade away.

You have given me life, but you say I’m your life.

You’re a Super Woman and I’m proud to call you as my mother,

I wish you a Happy Mothers Day,

I love you Mom.

Newborn day

Cuckoo’s coo-coo,

Squirrel’s shrill and

Parrot’s song,

Wakes up the sleeping city!

Cold Morning breeze,

Dance of greeny leaves and

Gleams of the solar king,

Welcomes the newborn day!

Note: I wanted to post this in the early morning, but creating a picture for my poem took this much time. Now I’m confused whether it looks like a sunrise or sunset. Please assume it as a sunrise 😀
