Happy New Year 2015

Happy New Year to all.

2014 was a great year. The resolution I took last year was to Travel and Save money. Did I accomplish that?

Travel: Yes, I travelled many places like Florida, New York, Chicago and Metamora, Indiana.

Savings: Sort of :), I saved very little money, but I appreciate and give a pat on my shoulder that I have made some progress than previous year.

So what is the resolution and goals of 2015? Here we go…

  1. Complete and publish the Todo app that me and my wife working on.
  2. Spend 8 hours at work, 8 hours for family, friends, hobby and then sleep well everyday.
  3. Equip and advance towards my goal in becoming Solution and Enterprise Architect.
  4. Save decent amount of money.
  5. Blog frequently.

I hope to enjoy life with my wife and progress well in my career.

New Year and My New MacBook Pro

This New Year I gifted myself a MacBook Pro. Buying a new mac wasn’t my resolution but it was my wish for a long time.

My 4 year old HP laptop gets pretty hot these days which made me to buy a new one. I was not satisfied with any of the PCs available in the market other than the MacBook Pro.

The only thing that objected me all these years in buying an Apple computer is its huge price. Then I figured out that its not just the money I’m lacking but the confidence and the guts to spend on what I like.

So I made up my mind just a day before the New Year 2012 and stepped out to nearby stores for enquiring. After a lot of thinking and comparison about the 13 and 15 inch MacBooks I finally chose the 15 inch.

In the morning of New Year’s day I went to temple with my friend (He had forced me to go with him 🙂 ) then I slept for few hours and in the evening I brought this pretty MacBook Pro home 🙂

It’s cool and awesome. Now for the next 6 moths, I need to pay the EMI dues for this thing of beauty 😦 🙂

Happenings of my life in 2011?

Year 2011 is almost over. It’s been a fairly good year. A lot had happened during this year. Up and downs, confronted a couple of rejections, travelled to new places befriended colleagues, shifted my living place and a lot more.

Here is short list of happenings of my life in 2011

Career: Job was smooth but wasn’t much interesting.

Saddened moments: I felt so bad when I got rejected in Visa interview but now it appears like ‘I did not miss anything big’ 🙂

Weight gained: 1 KG.

Books read: Rules of life, Inside Steve’s brain and now reading The Fountainhead.

Purchased: Windows phone 7

Enjoyed: lot of 3D animation movies.

Lessons Learnt: Never ever lose hope.

Having learnt that, I’m looking forward to the New Year with lot of hope.

A new year is here again. It’s a new decade too.
I thought about the resolutions to make this year,
but couldn’t find a real one to hold on.

I even hardly remember the resolutions that I made last year 😉
So there is no strict resolutions this year 🙂 I’m just wishing to face the life as it comes and to continue my journey with the right attitude. And I’ll try to be an honest and a kind person with lot of hopes and healthy thoughts.
